Adams suggests that you don’t have to travel far to find a great weekend getaway spot. In fact, there are plenty of great options right here in Oklahoma. She recommends checking out the following destinations:
Broken Bow is a popular destination for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The area is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and kayaking. Tulsa and Oklahoma City are great options for those looking for a more urban getaway. Both cities offer plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Sulphur and Davis are both located near the Arbuckle Mountains and offer visitors the chance to explore the great outdoors.
Adams also suggests checking out some of Oklahoma’s state parks. She recommends visiting Lake Murray State Park, which is the largest state park in Oklahoma and offers visitors the chance to swim, fish, and hike. Another great option is Beavers Bend State Park, which is located in the Ouachita Mountains and offers visitors the chance to explore the great outdoors.
